We try hard to keep your original teeth in your mouth, but in certain circumstances extraction becomes necessary.
Common reasons for extraction
- Severe cavities (caries) such that a tooth is unrestorable
- Severe periodontal disease where no predictable treatment exists
- Tooth overcrowding in specific situations
- Tooth is broken or cracked/fractured.
There are many other, less common situations where extraction is chosen, but be assured we only do what is in your best interest and will discuss any treatment with you thoroughly before proceeding.
